    The Kids of the JDRF Walk for the Cure {Vancouver Child Photographer}

    On Sunday June 12th I volunteered my time and my camera to photograph the 2011 Telus Walk to Cure Diabetes.  This event raised $600, 000 to help fund the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) and it’s mission to find a cure for this disease that has a huge impact on children around the world who are diagnosed.  My own sister was diagnosed at the age of 8 and this has given me a first hand look at what’s it’s like for a child living with diabetes.  The disease itself, not to mention other health complications that come with it are not something that any child or young person should have to
    deal with in their lives.  I wanted to share some of my favorite photos of the kids of all ages who
    were there, having fun and walking the walk to find a cure.
