2016 project 52 | Session 1
There’s something about a new year that brings out the best of intentions. New Year’s resolutions are at the center of conversations everywhere as we reflect on the past and make goals for the future. I’ve never been much of a resolver myself, eat better, drink less, exercise more… the usual suspects abound.
This year I’ve decided on a project 52 challenge. It seems like no problem now, but I know how it can be tough to stay on top of these types of goals when life and work gets busy. Here are my rules. I am to photograph my own family once per week for 2016 with my pro gear. Some sessions may be more elaborate than others but the intention is to use this challenge to hone my photography skills, try new stuff, be creative with my camera, on a weekly basis, and take more self-portraits. I plan on making a book at the end too.
Here’s week 1… me and the boys, down at the river on a beautiful winter afternoon.
Here’s to a great year filled with adventures of childlike wonder, with endless love and positive energy and lots of quality time with those we love.
