No two weddings are the same, especially amidst the weddings that I’ve had the pleasure of taking part in.
Each couple I work with is unique, and with Laurel + Janco there is no exception. When the groom is the G.M. at Rogue Kitchen + Wet Bar, you know the day will be filled with delicious food, fancy cocktails and a whole lot of fun.
And, that’s exactly what it was!
These two have known each other for a long time, and family is important to them. Meaning a whole lot of awesome people came together to celebrate their love on their wedding day.
The ceremony was held in the front yard, at Laurel’s aunt and uncle’s house, a place where Laurel spent so much time as a child. The home sits right on beautiful crescent beach. The reception, more like a festival, was just down the road, in Janco’s parent’s beautifully landscaped and wooded backyard.
Weeks of planning and preparation went into creating one of the coolest reception venues I’ve ever seen. Complete with a bar, dance floor, hookah lounge, hammock swings and gigantic Jenga!
And the flowers, oh the flowers…each one of them perfectly arranged by Janco’s mom. Laurel’s gorgeous flower crown was one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. And did I mention Janco’s family is from South Africa, and that his Dad prepared homemade sausages that were the best I’ve ever eaten!
It was a day full of love for these lovebirds. A day not soon forgotten.
Wishing you, Laurel + Janco, all the love and laughter in the world as you embark on your journey together as husband and wife. I feel honoured to have been a part of your day 🙂
